Our galvanizing North American alumni retreat this March brought together more than 85 alumni Jewish leaders from across North America, Europe and Israel, and trained participants in reshaping Israel engagement in their roles as congregational Rabbis, social entrepreneurs, day school educators, lay and institutional Jewish leaders. Highlights of the retreat included: a panel focusing on the Palestinian non-violent movement, featuring Ronit Avni and Mubarak Awad; a meeting with major leaders of the Arab-American community; and several strategic sessions for resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and creating a more safe and inclusive Jewish discourse in relation to Israel in the American Jewish community.
