Our galva­niz­ing North American alumni retreat in March 2010 brought together more than 85 alumni Jewish lead­ers from across North America, Europe and Israel, and trained partic­i­pants in reshap­ing Israel engage­ment in their roles as congre­ga­tional Rabbis, social entre­pre­neurs, day school educa­tors, lay and insti­tu­tional Jewish lead­ers. Highlights of the retreat included: a panel focus­ing on the Palestinian non-violent move­ment, featur­ing Ronit Avni and Mubarak Awad; a meet­ing with major lead­ers of the Arab-American commu­nity; and several strate­gic sessions for resolv­ing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and creat­ing a more safe and inclu­sive Jewish discourse in rela­tion to Israel in the American Jewish commu­nity.
