Our galva­nizing North American alumni retreat in March 2010 brought together more than 85 alumni Jewish leaders from across North America, Europe and Israel, and trained partic­i­pants in reshaping Israel engage­ment in their roles as congre­ga­tional Rabbis, social entre­pre­neurs, day school educa­tors, lay and insti­tu­tional Jewish leaders. Highlights of the retreat included: a panel focusing on the Palestinian non-violent move­ment, featuring Ronit Avni and Mubarak Awad; a meeting with major leaders of the Arab-American commu­nity; and several strategic sessions for resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and creating a more safe and inclu­sive Jewish discourse in rela­tion to Israel in the American Jewish community.
