Our flag­ship two-day program includes:

  • Orientation with secu­rity briefing and commu­ni­ca­tion training
  • Meetings with promi­nent Palestinian govern­ment offi­cials, non-violent activists, teachers, Sheikhs, school­children, teenagers and ordi­nary people
  • Visits to local schools, neigh­bor­hoods and villages
  • Cultural activ­i­ties including games, music and dance with local Palestinians
  • Political presen­ta­tions on the current situ­a­tion from Palestinian leaders — exam­ining issues such as the sepa­ra­tion barrier, Palestinian polit­ical parties and history of peace negotiations
  • Safe, facil­i­tated dialogue within the plural­istic Jewish group
  • Home hospi­tality with Palestinian fami­lies (optional)
  • Jewish prayer, Torah study and kosher food
  • Follow-up sessions including struc­tured processing and inte­gra­tion of experience

Thursday

8:00am Depart from parking lot of Liberty Bell Park / Gan Hapa’amon
8:30am Arrive in al-Khader village; Walk to the Hope Flowers School; Opening Circles with small groups
9:30am – 10:30am Visit to Hope Flowers School with Ibrahim Issa, Director and Headmaster
11:00am — 1:00pm Bus Tour of Bethlehem area and Separation Barrier with Sami Awad, Founder and Exective Director of the Holy Land Trust
1:15pm — 2:00pm Lunch at the Bethlehem Hotel
2:15pm — 2:45pm Minhah and Dvar Torah
3:00pm — 4:45pm Personal Narratives Panel:
