On April 3rd, 2013 Encounter will be hosting a special video conference call with Sam Bahour, American-born Palestinian entrepreneur and business consultant, streaming directly from Ramallah.
This call, hosted by Encounter Board member Steve Jacobson, offers Encounter alumni the opportunity to continue the conversations they started on their Encounter trips and to reach across divides using online technology.
Sam is a Palestinian-American businessman and activist based in Al-Bireh/Ramallah. He is Managing Partner of Applied Information Management (www.aim.ps), a management consulting firm. Sam was instrumental in the establishment of two publicly listed (www.pex.ps) start-ups, PALTEL and the Plaza Shopping Center. Sam has served as a Board of Trustees member at Birzeit University and was the University’s treasurer. He is a director of the Arab Islamic Bank and one of the founders of the Dalia Association, a community foundation. Sam writes frequently on Palestinian affairs and has been widely published; he blogs at www.epalestine.com. Sam is co-editor of HOMELAND: Oral History of Palestine and Palestinians.
A regular speaker on Encounter’s tours of Palestinian communities in the West Bank, Sam offers both an important perspective as well as new ideas about how to move forward constructively.
This event is for Encounter alumni only. RSVP required.
