We are pleased to announce that Encounter is now accepting applications for our upcoming September 13–14 trip to Bethlehem for graduate students of Jewish education, rabbinical students and Jewish community leaders. This trip to Bethlehem is specifically for emerging Jewish leaders who will be in Israel for the 2012–2013 academic year. Priority for this trip will be given to those who have expressed interest in joining the 2012–2013 Advanced Leadership Seminar and/or taking an active role in supporting the work of Encounter throughout the year. __________________________________________________________________

The programs will take place in Bethlehem, Beit Sahour, and surrounding areas within 15 minutes of Jerusalem. Click here for a sample itinerary of this trip. The mandatory orientation will take place Sunday, September 9th and the mandatory debriefing will take place on Monday, September 24th. Space is limited. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until Wednesday September 5th. Click here to apply online. * Please note that Israeli law forbids individuals with Israeli citizenship from traveling to Palestinian areas in the West Bank. Therefore, participants who have Israeli citizenship can check our calendar for upcoming trips to areas B and C, areas of the West Bank where Israelis are permitted. Questions are welcome.
