AJC’s New York Chapter and ACCESS: AJC’s Next Generation Program, together with the New York Jewish Week, co-hosted a panel discussion, “Do Young Jews Care About Israel?” More than 100 gathered at Central Synagogue near AJC headquarters to hear Rabbi Daniel Brenner, Vice President of Education for the Birthright Israel Foundation; Dr. Steven Cohen, Hebrew Union College Professor of Jewish Social Policy; and Rabbi Melissa Weintraub, Founding Co-Director of Encounter.
